Your Representative's Job in the U.S. Congress
This videotape explains the job of a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and the role citizens play in the legislative process.
The information is primarily presented through candid conversations with Congresswoman Ileana Ros- Lehtinen (R-FL) and Congressman John Sarbanes (D-MD). The audience also hears from two individuals who contacted their representative’s office about a specific problem or need.
In the majority of cases, the member of Congress who represents the locale in which the videotape is being shown, appears on the video. As well, a local host of the videotape appears in it.
